There are multiple challenges in 3D printing for nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals. Conditions such as heat or ultraviolet light may preclude the use of heat sensitive active ingredients. In addition, different active ingredients may require differing control release profiles to realize its optimal effect.

Craft Health uses the paste extrusion technique, a gentle 3D printing technique that does not involve excessive heating or curing. We also have a proprietary 3D printable formulation database suitable for a wide range of active ingredients as well as the necessary hardware solutions for 3D print.
